YOU ARE THE ARCHITECT
I'm Chris Black.
And I started from scratch at 35.
For years, I thought, "Someday I'll make music. Someday I'll start my own brand." Someday.
Then it became clear: there is no "someday." There is only now.
So I started:
First, I produced my own music. I wrote lyrics, built beats, and just experimented.
Then I designed my own streetwear. No traditional fashion career, no master plan—just made it myself from scratch.
Today we have RFLCT — and my songs. Both grew from the same idea:
Do your own thing. No matter when you start.
RFLCT is neither a fad nor a business case.
I wanted to make clothes that I would enjoy wearing myself.
That last, that are fairly produced, that feel good — and that aren't replaced by some trend every week.
Produced in Portugal.
The same goes for music: I make songs that tell a story.
About freedom, truth, justice — and about carrying on when things get tough.
No calculation, no image. Just what comes out of me.
And why does it all fall under the phrase YOU ARE THE ARCHITECT?
Because I believe:
Everyone can build their own life.
Not perfect. Not linear. Not without flaws. But self-determined.
You decide what you do. When you start. What you wear. What you stand for.
That's why RFLCT exists.
For people who don't want everything pre-chewed.
For those who think. Those who try things out. Those who seek new paths.
And for those who want to wear something that suits them — because it's real, not because it's trending on Instagram.
